ALTERNATIVE TEXTBOOK: Abstract Algebra (3rd edition) by David S. Dummit and Richard M. Foote, John Wiley & Sons Inc., ISBN 0-471-43334-9. This textbook contains the materials we cover in the course.



Written Homework, submitted to iCollege (all pages in one single file).

Each homework set should be turned in on the due day at the beginning of the class. Your performance in the homework will affect your letter grades by the end of the semester. Remember: Show your step-by-step work; and no late homework is accepted.



Exams

There are two in-class midterm exams and a final exam, all submitted in hard-copy and all held at 407 Classroom South (CS).
