Textbook:
Discrete Mathematics with Applications (5th Edition),
by Susanna S. Epp. Once you sign up for this class with an account on Cengage WebAssign, the entire textbook is available on the website, as well as additional study and review resources.
In-class Quizzes (face-2-face, submitted in hard copies)
In-class quizzes will be administered weekly; and they are graded.
If a quiz is take-home (which rarely happens), the quiz should be turned in by the time the next class starts.
Show your step-by-step work. All in-class quizzes are closed book/notes, with no calculators.
No make-up quiz is available, for whatever the reasons/excuses. Two quizzes will be dropped at the end of semester.
Your performance in the quizzes will affect your letter grade.

Exams
There are three in-class midterm exams and a final exam, all held at 209 Classroom South (CS).

First Exam: 02/08/2024 (Thursday), in-class, 11:00am–12:15pm, closed book/notes, no calculators.

Second Exam: 03/05/2024 (Tuesday), in-class, 11:00am–12:15pm, closed book/notes, no calculators.

Third Exam: 04/09/2024 (Tuesday), in-class, 11:00am–12:15pm, closed book/notes, no calculators.
- Final Exam: 04/25/2024 (Thursday), 10:45am–1:15pm, closed book/notes, no calculators.
The final exam will be cumulative with a slight emphasis on
the materials not covered in the two midterm exams.
